Weekly Saturday Cardio Workouts

Every Saturday this winter I am running an hour live cardio class using video Skype.  For people who are not sweat4health members and want to do the workouts with us, I will post the workouts here so you can do them at your leisure.

Here was today’s brutal workout courtesy of Mitch who suggested it! Its a one hour pyramid workout.  All of us were on bikes but you could just as well do this workout on a treadmill, elliptical machine, or whatever.

  • Jan 18 workout
    • 10 min warmup at 70% max heart rate
    • 2 min at max
    • 2 min at 70% max heart rate
    • 3 min at max
    • 90s at 70% max heart rate
    • 4 min at max
    • 60s at 70% max heart rate
    • 5 min at max
    • 2 min at 70% max heart rate
    • 4 min at max
    • 90s at 70% max heart rate
    • 3 min at max
    • 1 min at 70% max heart rate
    • 2 min at max
    • 45s at 70% max heart rate
    • 1 min at max
    • cooldown at 70% of max to finish hour
  • Jan 4 workout
    • 5 min warmup
    • 25 minutes at 70% max heart rate
    • 3 minutes at max, 3 minutes at 70%
    • 8 minutes – 2 min at max, 2 min at 70%, repeat
    • 8 minutes – 1 min at max, 1 min at 70%, repeat
  • Jan 11 workout
    • 5 min warmup
    • 10 min at 70% of max
    • 5 min at max
    • 8 minutes – 2min at max, 2 minute at 70%, repeat
    • 8  minutes – 1min at max, 1 minute at 70%, repeat
    • 3 minute at 70%
    • 70% of max to complete 60 min workout
