My calorie calculator has been popular for years because it not only calculates your caloric requirements but it gives you a sample meal based on your goals. Dieting really confuses people though and their three most common questions are:
- What should I eat?
- How much should I eat?
- How long will it take to get ripped?
Both of my new tools answer ALL these questions! These two new tools take it to the next level for the specific goal of weight loss. These two tools plan an entire days meals for optimal fat loss with minimal or no muscle loss. Not only that, they tell you how many weeks it will take to get to your target bodyfat percentage!
Lets look at the difference between these two meal planning tools so you can see which best suits your needs:
meals/day | caloric reduction | diet type | protein | |
Weight Loss Meal Planner | 4 | -25% | low fat | 1g/lb |
Cutting Meal Planner | 6 | -25% | low carb | very high |
Both diets have you at a 25% caloric reduction which is pushing the limit. Normally I dont like any more than a 20% reduction but these meal plans are healthy enough that you should not lose any muscle mass on either of them. You will note that they are different diet types. One is an old school, low fat, high fiber diet with lots of vegetables and the other is a low carb diet. The choice is yours. Typical low carb diets are not healthy in my opinion because they are sorely lacking in fiber but mine has plenty of fiber and vegetables so its really a personal preference on this front. You will also note that the old school low fat diet only has 4 meals a day whereas the low carb diet has 6 meals a day. Again, personal preference there. Both of these diets get you plenty of protein, the low fat diet gets you 1g/pound of bodyweight per day. As with most low carb diets though, the protein intake exceeds 1g/lb significantly. My low carb diet has the macros 45/30/25 and with 45% protein, the intake can get as high as 1.5g/lb of bodyweight per day if you do lots of cardio. Because of this, my suggestion is to only use the cutting meal planner if you are within 10 pounds of your target weight.
