Pillow-scream! Yet another weight loss shortcut! With today’s announcement of Arena Pharmaceutical’s new anti-obesity pill “Belviq”, I can just see the phones ringing off the hook at doctors offices across the country from people wanting to make appointments to get themselves a prescription for this “miracle weight loss pill”. Aaargh! Will people ever learn? There ARE no shortcuts to losing weight and there ARE no shortcuts to getting washboard abs. Here is the hard, cold truth.

Because to look healthier you have to BE healthier. That means exercising more and eating less. You dont have to kill yourself with exercise running marathons in sauna suits every day, just a 20-30 minute brisk walk daily will do quite nicely. You dont have to starve yourself either, just use the smart substitution method where you substitute two unhealthy items daily with two healthier choices. Is this really so difficult?
