Mike Barrington

This is Mike from Barrington, NH. A great example of how slow but steady muscle gain can make an impressive visual difference when you keep lean instead of bulking.

“I had been “bulking” for several months prior to this, and of course I bought into all the horrible advice you hear in the gym and, although I was about 10 lbs heavier than when I begain weight training in this picture, not much to look at. I guess a couple months after taking that picture I found your site, started listening to your solid advice, and before I knew it, I went downtown and bought a bucket hat. I do a five-way split, and I jog about 3 miles a day, maybe 4 on an off day (More in the summer, but it’s not fun doing it inside, and it’s COLD in New England). My semi-long term goal at this point in time is to have a low enough bodyfat % to compete in a small, local bodybuilding competition this October (the Granite State Open), more for the experience than anything, I suppose. Anyway, I’m a huge fan, and I’ve learned so much from you. Thanks for taking the time to review this and I hope you consider me for your success story competition. “
