So, its been six weeks now and progress has stalled, its clear that its time for a new nutritional plan – good thing I am just finishing my new meal planner software so I can try it out. I am really excited because it uses some cool artificial intelligence (AI) concepts to design the best possible meal plan based upon goals and taste preferences. Anyway, more on that later but now for the bad news.
So since last week, I accomplished … nothing. My fat loss has stalled at 7.1% bodyfat. Actually, its not surprising. I get *really* involved in software development when I am excited about it and I have never been as excited as I am about my new meal planner. When I am this excited about something, when I wake up in the middle of the night, which I usually do two to three times a night, I cant get back to sleep because my mind starts racing about all the things I want to do. So anyway, the last two weeks when I have woken up to pee, I have just started work which has resulted in no more than 5 hours sleep a night. As we all know from my sleep and bodybuilding page, getting enough sleep is critical to building muscle and losing fat. It doesnt matter if you “dont need” any more sleep. I am waking up every night at 2 am rearin’ to go but that doesnt mean that I got enough sleep!
So anyway, now that the software is almost ready to release I have been sleeping a bit more, last night I slept 6 hours and by the weekend I should be completely done with it and ready to release it. I am hoping that week 7 will bring the gainz, or in this case, the lossz that I need to accomplish. Between the new optimal meal plan my software has spit out and getting enough sleep, my bodyfat should continue to descend. I plan on starting this AI generated meal plan on Friday the 3rd of April:

Serious about your fitness and nutrition? Try my artificial intelligence meal plan generation software! WARNING: Only low-carb, medium-carb, vegan, and vegetarian meal planners work. Keto, carb-cycling, Mediterranean, and Paleo are still under development. Known bugs: percentages do not add up to exactly 100% and your weight will be off by a pound or two. Remember the algorithms are still being tuned to make perfect meals, things may not be quite optimal yet.
